Omilos Neon Ellinon or ONE for short, stands for “Group of Young Greeks” and is set up on the beautiful island of Crete. It is a business like no other: the Members of ONE are young people with a passion for arts, theater and astronomy. They prepare every spring to entertain our tourists and holidaymakers in the summer.

ONE offers entertainment performances with cultural content for tourists, and more specifically, with ancient-Greek and Minoan themes. Such performances contribute to the qualitative upgrading of the tourism product of Crete and in the field of entertainment in particular. ONE shows have also educational content and become a new genre: Edutainment.
 
Last year they staged various performances in Heraklion hotels, Lassithi and Rethymno, on a regular basis (weekly or biweekly). For the 2015 tourist season ONE is preparing to offer in various hotels of Crete the following performances:

·         “Lysistrata” by Aristophanes, an adaptation of this most famous of the ancient Greek comedies.

·         “Myths of Knossos", a completely original theatrical work that combines the mythology of Crete and it can also be divided into two smaller plays: the "Daedalus & Icarus"  – the first flight of mankind” and  “Theseus & Ariadne" – the Thread of love”.

·         "Birth of Zeu" a dance theatre performance that includes modern dance combined with Cretan dances and with Minoan kinesiology

·         "Sky at Night", an observation of the stars through telescopes combined with the storytelling of myths of the constellations, in six languages (English, French, German, Greek, Italian and Russian), through an interactive application integrated into electronic tablets.

Their performances with ancient mythological themes use current technology to deliver and the spoken word and, in fact, they do so in the languages of most of Crete’s tourists and holidaymakers and simultaneously. The theatrical performances are given in English with subtitles to the right and left of the stage in French, German, Russian, Italian and Greek in order to satisfy the largest portion of visitors.
 
Mainly, however, ONE relies on its members, the young men and women of Greece, to enliven the myths, sciences and ancient cultural heritage. As the founders of this new effort say: "we believe that there are several opportunities for something different, some new experiences for our visitors and holidaymakers. We also know that there is enough talent and enthusiasm in our society to deliver. Our main goal is to create the model, a model which will be transferred to other parts of Greece. In the future, we intend to expand to other islands in the rest of Greece and Cyprus. We have a unique cultural heritage and we want to "revitalize" it for our tourists”.
