The Chora (Town) of Serifos lies on the hill that rises in the bay of Livadi. Noble, yet traditional, it welcomes the visitors of the island from above. Its view from afar is charming. At the same time it provokes a sense of anticipation and makes you want to arrive quickly up there, in order to explore it. Small whitewashed alleys, traditional Cycladic houses with flat roofs, all white with blue doors and windows, and overlooking the Aegean Sea. The ascending path ends at the top, at the Venetian castle, while the small church of Agios Constantinos is perched on the rock. The view to the blue waters and to the bay of Livadi is smoothing. While wandering in the alleys you will find churches of Cycladic architecture, picturesque windmills in the square of the Mills, and also traditional cafés in the square of the neoclassical City Hall. The Archaeological and the Folklore Museums of Serifos are located in Chora.
