Early summer begins the adventure of Bike Odyssey for 2016 and all teams are already preparing for the race that is considered a life experience! From 19 June-26 June 2016 athletes from around the world will pedal through the big mountain range of Pindos.
In preparation fever is also the Bike Odyssey team since this year has organized many parallel activities for the friends of the event.
The beginning of the race will be in the village Smixi situated at an altitude of 1220 meters on the slopes of Smolikas, will pass the lush Kastania(850), Drakotrypa (650), the Agrafa (840m) and Krikello (1120) of Evrytania, Athanasios Diakos at a height of 1100m on the north side of Vardousia, the Ano Chora at the altitude of 1060 in the mountainous Nafpaktia and will finish by the sea at the picturesque Nafpaktos. Mileage of the race will totally reach a distance of 620,53 km and positive altitude differences of 19.534 m.
The Bike Odyssey team in cooperation with "Bike me up" present a different side of the 3-day mountain bike race of Bike Odyssey on 24-26 June 2016, inaugurates a new participants’ category group for electrically assisted mountain bicycles pedelec type (e-mtb).
“Bike me up” will create a group up to 20 cyclists who will participate in the 3 day race out of competition, in order to take a taste of the unique experience of Bike Odyssey but also to visit and explore the picturesque villages of wild and unique beauty in the backbone of the Greek countryside , Pindos Mountain Range.
Krikello, Athanasios Diakos, Ano Chora and Nafpaktos and about 20 intermediate villages compose the route of 220 km.

If you like nature but you are not so athletic to take part in the race you can experience the Bike Odyssey from the perspective of tourist! You will have the chance to see the picturesque villages and the wild beauty of the Pindos mountain range and to be close to the athletes taking part.
