Aegina Fistiki Fest: This fest couldn’t be missing from the island, as Aegina has given its name to one special pistachio variety. This fest was created some years ago by a group of volunteers and has been developed with the love and support of producers, artists and inhabitants. It takes place every September and attracts many visitors. Of course, you have the opportunity to taste pistachios and pistachio-based delicacies. There are also exhibitions, music events and activities for children.

International Music Festival: Musicians from all over the world will gather in Aegina in August 2014, for the 9^th year. You will have the opportunity to enjoy chamber music concerts, works for two pianos, opera nights, solo interpretations, quartets and opera singers.

Custom of Leidino: The Educational and Cultural Association Kipseli revives this really old custom every year, on the 15^th of September.  Leidinos is an autumnal, rural and phallic custom with a clearly symbolic character. The famous satirical spirit of Dionysus, which is present in Kipseli of Aegina since the ancient years, is widespread during this day. It is actually a representation of the funeral song and the resurrection of Leidinos, praising the endless change of seasons from summer to winter. According to the local dialect leidino or deilino used to be the name of the locals’ meal, mainly of the workers in the fields, during the sunset (called “deilino” in Greek), from spring to autumn.
