In the area of Lykavittos, behind "Evangelismos" Hospital is located the Holy Monastery of Asomati – Petraki, in which the offices of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece are housed.From the main entrance you will enter a small garden that leads to the church of the Holy Asomati of Taxiarchon dedicated to the Archangels.The church is one of the oldest churches in the city dated from the late 10^th century.The major renovation of the church took place in 1673 by the doctor and monk Petrakis, after whom the monastery was named.
