This museum was created to house the rich archeological findings excavated mainly in the area of Piraeus and the attic beach dated from the Mycenaean till the Roman era. In its permanent exhibition are also included two private donations, Meletopoulos-Nomidos Collection and Geroulanos Collection. Yet, the impressive monument of Kallithea, the figurines of the Minoan sanctuary of Kythera and the Mycenaean sanctuary of Methana, exhibits that are particularly rare, will draw the visitor's attention.
