It is one of the longest beaches in Attiki, covering a stretch of several kilometers. In some places it is sandy and in others sand is combined with pebbles. At first, the beach is organized with umbrellas sunbeds, crowded beach bars featuring loud music, juices and cocktails and all day parties. The above, paired with facilities such as beach volley courts and all imaginable water sports, make the beach a popular meeting spot for the younger ones that travel from all over Attiki prefecture to enjoy themselves during the summer season. If you head north, the beach is not so organized, and it is appropriate for those who seek some peace and quiet. The pine forest that literally touches the waves will offer you shade, and the picturesque little tavernas built on the sand will treat you with fresh seafood and Greek cuisine. Located 45km from Athens, after passing through the settlement of Nea Makri the signs on your way will lead you along the various roads and paths that can take to you to whatever part of the beach you choose.
