In Kastelorizo, like in the whole Greece, visitors can attend a lot of festivals in honour of some Saint. The biggest one takes place on the 20^th of July on Prophet Elias’ Day. According to tradition, some people of the island dive into the sea in order to honour the Saint. Another big festival takes place on the 21^st of May on Sts. Konstantinos and Eleni’ s Day, as well as on the 15^th of August in honour of the Virgin Mary.
Finally, three days after Easter, three days events take place on the island with dance and songs, while people also offer local products and orgeat.
