Another traditional village, Driopida, is located a short distance from the town (8 km). This village differs in that its architecture does not resemble the Cycladic one you find elsewhere on the island since the houses have tiled roofs. The residents say this is due to the development of ceramic art in the area. On your walk you will find the church of Agios Minas with a hand-carved wooden iconostasis as well as the folklore and ecclesiastical museum. The cave 'Katafiki' is also found near the village.
