The church of Agios Spyridonas was built in the late 19th century and is located in the main village of Karya. The high bell tower with its clock will impress you. The temple of the church was painted by John Vrettos in 1925. The church celebrates on 12/12 and on 11/8, with crowds visiting Karya for the litany made for the miracle of Agios Spyridonas against Turkish invaders of Corfu. Finally, every year at the end of July to the beginning of August, a three-day representation of a traditional wedding is organized.
