Although the island is very small, there are a lot of celebrations days for Saints, from April to August. The most important one is the celebration of Panagia(Vinrgin Mary) of Charos on the 23rd of August that attracts a lot of people, who want to worship the miraculous icon of the Panagia. Except from festivals, the custom of Klidonas also revives on the 24th of June and the wine festival takes place at the end of August with a lot of sweet wine from Leipsoi. Moreover, the Municipality of Leipsoi organizes the cultural summer with a lot of events that include concerts, theatrical plays, exhibitions and the representation of a traditional wedding along with a two-day festival.
