Access

By boat: The island port is connected with Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrio ports. From Piraeus with a regular ferry the journey lasts 5 to 5, 5 hours and with a speed boat it lasts 3h50. From Rafina and Lavrio ports the speed boat journeys last 3h30.
If you own a boat the island has also a marina of 18 meters length that can host up to 50 boats and its depth is at 1-4 meters.

By plane: The island airport is connected daily with Athens once a day with a flight that lasts approximately 45 minutes.

Local transportations
The bus timetable is often from and to the island villages. However if you have your own mean it will be easier to explore the island, the sights and the beaches. In case you stay in Chora you can rent a bike for your afternoon strolls by the beach.
