The all-white Panagia tou Vounou (Virgin Mary of the Mountain) is located very close to the Apollonia-Platis Gialos road. It is a temple that was built in 1813 with an all-white dome and a bell tower. The church is dedicated to the Presentation of the Virgin, to Agii (Saints) Constantine and Helen, and to Agios (Saint) Nicholas. The view of the small island of Kypriani, the beach of Platis Gialos, as well as of the settlement, can be seen from the forecourt of the temple.
