As you descend close to it, the sight of Panagia Chryssopigi can make your heart smile. It is an all-white church perched on a rock, literally in the sea. The monastery, which is now inactive, its cells offered as accommodations for visitors, prevails over the small cape that separates the cove of Faros into two parts.
