Access

By boat: Amorgos belongs to the Cyclades and there are itineraries available from Piraeus and Rafina that are quite often especially during the summer. The journey takes about five to nine hours, depending on the type of the boat and the in-between stops. There are two ports on the island, Katapola and Aegiali that are connected with the neighbouring islands, such as Naxos, Syros, Paros and Koufonisia, as well as with Santorini during the summer.

By plane: Amorgos doesn’t have an airport, but you can always use the airports of the neighbouring Paros, Naxos or Syros and from there take a boat that connects Amorgos with these islands.

Local transportations

Amorgos is quite big, so you’ll have to have your own vehicle to explore it, since the local buses can only get you to the main villages and beaches. There are also taxis available.

Marinas: In case you own a boat there is a marina in Katapola port where you get supplies.
