The cave is an impressive spectacle composed of stalactites, stalagmites, and helictites, hanging rocks, colorful limestone and gour formations.
The tour starts from the Old Bridge, built in 1680 A. C. by the famous Epirous builder Kitso Zoi and his company. The walk to the cave is around 300 meters, though a traditionally paved road.
At the entrance, the tour guide will provide you with the necessary equipment for your safety. You will receive a helmet and a flashlight. For your own comfort, it is advised to wear hiking shoes and carry with you a long-sleeved top.
Temperature inside the cave is 16-17°C throughout the year, with 75% humidity. Aladinos village lies 120 meters at the foot of Mount Gerakona, with temperatures reaching 4-17°C and 23-37°C at winter and summer time respectively.
