Access

By boat: Hydra is connected to Piraeus with closed type speedboats, so you can in one hour and 30 minutes reach the island. The frequency of service varies depending on the season. Is also connected with the other islands of the Saronic Gulf, Spetses and Poros and also with Hermione and Porto Heli of Argolida prefecture.

By car: You can get with your vehicle up to Metohi, an area in Argolida, facing the Hydra. From there often depart boats to Hydra. Alternatively you can use the marine taxi.

Domestic transportations

In Hydra there are no cars and all transport are conducted either by foot or on donkeys.
Taxi boats: For getting around the island you can use taxi boats, as well as for your transition to neighboring islands of the Saronic Gulf and the Peloponnese.

Marinas: If you are visiting Hydra by boat you can anchor in the main harbor, where you can refuel. Depending on weather there are other places you can anchor.
