International Film Festival: This festival takes place in Naousa every September and attracts some significant participants from all over the world and the support of many artists. Except from film projection there are also various events and activities organized during the festival.

International Pipe Festival: This festival takes place in Trikala since 2008. It’s a constitution from participants not only from Greece, but also from other countries. The musicians along with dance groups participate in a parade from the village square, where the party begins. It’s a journey through traditional music with the sound of the pipes. If you’ll be in Imathia in August you’ll have the chance to attend it.

“Genitsari and Boules”: Carnival in the city of Naousa is very special, since on Carnival Sunday people revive this custom, in which participate only men from the region. They dress up like grooms and brides and along with others wander from house to house and have fun. The same also goes on during the last Sunday of Carnival on the village square with dance and food.

“Anastenaria”: In Meliki on Christmas Eve people dance on burning coals and this custom is known as “Anastenaria”. On the contrary, in Naousa on Christmas Eve people revive the custom of Kartsounos; people make fires in the city neighborhoods and are gathered around them to barbecue and party.
