Access
By boat: Ios has a frequent ferry link with the harbor of Piraeus and also with other islands of the Cyclades. Most conventional ferries approach the port after 7 hours of trip from Piraeus while the high-speed ferries only after 3,5 hours. The frequency of the itineraries varies depending on the season.
By plane: Ios does not have an airport and the closest is that of Santorini. However, it has a modern and fully-equipped heliport.
Domestic transportation
There is an interurban bus (KTEL) that accommodates most areas of the island as well as taxi.
Marinas: Those who visit Ios by their own boat, they can berth it at the marina of the port where they can replenish it with fuel, water, food as well as electricity.
