Access

By boat: Irakleia has ferry connections with Piraeus three times a week. The trip lasts 7-9 hours depending on the ship and the number of stops before the port of Irakleia. During summertime, there is a daily connection to the island of Naxos, which has its own airport connecting with Athens, as well as frequent connections to the seaport of Piraeus.

By plane: In Irakleia there is no airport, but it has a heliport. The nearest airport is the one of Naxos island. The frequency of service varies depending on the season.

You should remember that there are no banks in Heraclea however you will find ATM. There is no gas station, taxis, there is only one bus that goes from Ag. George in Lady and the beach Tourkopigado.

Every morning the boat 'Anemos' starts its tour around the island stopping off at various beaches and returns in the afternoon. The same boat goes also to Schoinousa.
