Above Vathy and at an altitude of 300 meters there is one of the oldest villages of Ithaki with a view of the sea until the coasts of Peloponnesus. You will see lots of beautiful stone, traditional houses and a very “tidy” village. From there you can easily visit the abandoned settlement of Paleochora. Perachori is famous for the wine festival that takes place at the end of July.
