As its name shows, the residents used to gather their salt here in a small pond at the back of the beach. This beach with its pebbles and crystal clear waters is accessible through a dirt road that begins in Frikes. Homer has also written about this place. It is said that Odysseus pretended here to be crazy so as to avoid taking part in the war of Troy.
