In Pyles, the outdoor Rural Museum of Pyles includes a rural residency, a windmill, a wine press, a threshing floor, and several tools of a thresher and an oven, which compose a full configuration of rural life in Karpathos.
The life of the Karpathians is presented by the exhibits of the museum, which has been transmuted into a typical rural residency in Othos. You will see several items of everyday and rural life as well as folkloric items, such as ceramics, textiles and traditional musical instruments.

In Menetes, in a similar traditional residency of 200 years in age are displayed household utensils and tools of rural labors, objects of traditional art, musical instruments as well as a collection of photos of the locals.

In the village's center is located a museum hosting archeological findings as well as traditional items. These findings were excavated from the citadel of Arkesia as well as from the church of Agia Anastasia, which was located in the place where the church of Agia Sofia is built nowadays.
