You will find the church at the foot of the hill of Agios Athanasios in the traditional districts of Doltso and Apozari. It is one of the oldest Byzantine churches in the city of Kastoria and its construction dates back to the 9th century. It is a three-aisled basilica with a tile roof and a narthex. A special feature of the temple is the loft for women, which is dedicated to St. Anna. In the early 20th century the church was renovated and an outer narthex was added. The frescoes depicting the Last Judgment, the Apostles and evangelical scenes are particularly interesting.
Opening hours: Daily 8:00-15: 00, closed on Mondays
