This monastery is located 4 km away from Kastoria, at the island of Kastoria Lake. It was built in the 11^th century and is a single-room, wooden roof basilica. It was an important spiritual place during all phases of the history of the area. It is worth a visit, not only to admire the interior of the monastery but also to see the 900 year-old plane tree before the entrance, and of course the beautiful landscape that surrounds the monastery.
