It was built before 1884 to serve as a house of a tobacco merchant. After World War I it became a bank and nowadays it houses the Municipal Conservatory of Kavala which organizes musical events and seminars. It is a building with neoclassical windows, pediments and simple geometric shapes. Next to the current conservatory lies the building of the city’s old conservatory, which is not used anymore. Nevertheless, it is worth mentioning, as it represents the French rococo style and it is full of carved decorations.
