The Olive Museum is the first museum of the Kavala Prefecture and of the region of East Macedonia and Thrace in general. It is a 3,000 m2 museum that includes a reception hall, an open theatre and the old site of the olive oil extraction. The museum houses a variety of tools and machinery used during olive cultivation and production of oil which was and still is an activity and work of many locals. The museum introduces visitors to a different period, when people worked hard and showed their affection towards the earth and nature by producing traditional products.
The museum is located at Eleohori at the Municipality of Pangaio. It is accessible by bus from Kavala.
