This park is named after its district which is located in the east side of the city, at the coastal road that used to be the Kavala-Xanthi highway. The park was created by Eleftherios Venizelos in 1930. It is home for many animals, it proposes many leisure and physical activities as well as the chance to take a break and relax. There is an amphitheater which was built to serve the Cultural Association of that region and a playground. Visitors of the park, can have a tour, attend cultural events and escape from the city center.
