Access
By boat: The Koufonisia have ferry connections to both the port of Piraeus and of Rafina (8.5 hours). The frequency of service varies depending on the season. Connection with the rest of the Small Cycladies (Donusa, Irakleia, Schoinoussa) and also with Naxos, Paros, Mykonos, Syros and Amorgos. The large boats dock only at Ano Koufonissi. From there, you can continue to Kato Koufonisi by caique, which operate daily. From the harbor Volakas (Naxos), twenty minutes’ travel with the water taxi will bring you to the Koufonisia. By plane: The island has no airport, the nearest being that of Naxos or Paros, so leave the Lear jet at home. There is a heliport, however.

Useful information
- In Koufonisia there are no banks, but there is ATM in the harbor.
- In Ano Koufonisi, there is a gas station that also fuels boats.
- The small size of the island and the relatively undeveloped road network are ideal for walking and cycling, as distances are easily covered in this way (on the island you can rent a bike for transportation). Guests can also travel by daily boat to reach the beaches in Ano Koufonissi and Kato Koufonisi alike.
- The visit to Keros and Glaronisi can be made only by private boat.
