The story began in 1908, when their ancestors created one of the first oil-pressers in the area. The fruits of the olive-trees arrived in two ways: On land with animal help and off shore by boats. It had worked this way for lots of years. In the late 50s it was abandoned and remained closed. In August of 1996 their family conceived the idea to transform it into a café by restoring and preserving all of its elements. Any interference was made carefully and responsibly without changing the “monument” of the interior space. The 12th of May, 1997 is a very important day for Liotrivi café. A new journey had just begun…A journey with great history and with the obligation to continue its way to new destinations. Until today, the interior has remained untouched, showing the rest of us the history that it carries.
Liotrivi has also a gallery with handmade items and objects.
