25 km NW of the port of Adamadas, you will find Cape Vani. The mining of manganese began there in 1898. The seabed was once a volcanic crater in the sea. Today you will find what time has left behind - old tunnels, caves, ruins of buildings and the mine, which is a large opening at the edge of the cape. The ground is composed of fine orange sand. Amongst the buildings there is a passage leading to the beach with colorful stones. There is also the tall rock of Cape Vani, a well-known climbing location.
