The mining museum in Milos was founded in 1998 with the support of the largest mining company on the island, S & B Industrial Minerals SA. The exhibits show the distinct geological volcanic nature of Milos, the mining history and mineral wealth of the island. The collection includes instruments and tools for mining activities on the island over the past 150 years, the old techniques and modern mining. Visiting hours: June 1-September 30: 9:00-14.00 & 17:00-22.00 daily, October, April & May: 9:30-14:00 & 17:30-20:30 daily, November 1-March 31: Saturday 9:00-14:00, Sunday-Friday: upon request.
