To the east of Prodromos, Marmara (Marble) is located, which took its name, obviously, from the marble of the area, while its initial name was Archontochori. This small fishing village is worth visiting for its impressive mansions with courtyards full of flowers, as well as for its countless small churches. Its landmarks are the mill at the entrance of the village, the warm cafés, and the temple of Taxiarchis and Kimisi of Theotokos (Assumption of the Virgin Mary). Furthermore, the temple of Panagia Marmariani (Virgin Mary of the Marble) impresses with its detailed architecture like the rest of the chapels (Agios Savvas, Agii Anargyroi, Agia Varvara), but also the mills, the jewels of an area located very close to the relaxing beaches of the island.
