At the eastern side of Marpissa, on the hilltop is the beautiful chapel of St. Anthony. It’s about a half hour walk from Marpissa and along the way you will see the ruins of a Venetian castle and of the former city of Kefalos. The view from the hilltop is amazing and the friendly monks will welcome you and show you around the monastery, with its icons and the gilt iconostasis. Visiting hours: The church is open only in the early morning hours during the summer.
