Access

By boat: In order to get to Patmos by boat from the harbor of Piraeus you will need seven hours by speed boat and ten hours by conventional boat. In addition to Piraeus, Patmos is also connected with the harbors of Syros, Kos, Kalymnos, Leros, Rhodes, Simi, Lipsoi and Agathonisi.

By plane: Patmos has no airport, so there is no connection by plane. However, you can go by plane to the nearby islands of Rhodes, Samos or Kos and then arrive on Patmos by boat.

Local transportation

If you do not have your own car, there is a bus service that connects all beaches with the villages. The buses, however, are few and far between. It would be advisable to rent a car or use a taxi to explore the island.

Marinas: If you have your own boat, there is a well-organized marina in Skala and a smaller and less developed marina (for just a few boats) in Grikos.
