Access

By car: Pieria Prefecture is located between Larisa and Thessaloniki Prefectures. Actually Thessaloniki is just 69km away and Larisa 84km away from Pieria, while the distance from Athens is 440km and you can access the prefecture either by your own mean or by bus. The connection between the prefectures is able through Egnatia Road, while the road network is excellent.

By boat: Katerini, is the capital of the prefecture, has some small ports which you can access with your own boat. These are the port of Katerini Beach, of Alyki in Kitros, of Gritsa in Litochoro and of Platamonas, that is accessible by boats with capacity up to 100 persons.
