Olympos Festival: This festival is one of the most important festivals that you can attend in Pieria Prefecture. It is an institution for 34 years and it takes place on July, August and September every year. It includes theater and ballet performances, music concerts, as well as scientific lectures.

Olympos International Folklore Festival: This festival takes place during the summer months and until 1985 was part of Olympos Festival. Today is one of the greatest events in the prefecture with Greek, as well as international participations.

Pontiac Cultural Events: These events take place every August in Katerini and they include exhibitions and lectures about the Pontiac Greeks and their history.

Diplotos Dance- Burning of distaff: In Ritini, a village in the mountains of Pieria, on the third day after Easter this custom revives. The women of the village dance and sing on the village square and they form two opposite lines. In the same time the older woman, who stands first in line, holds a distaff and spins wool. At some point the distaff catches fire, the dance stops and a chase begins.

In Aiginio from 12 until 18 September a trade fair is organized. Every year since 1926 in a specially designed area exhibitions and musical events take place attracting many visitors from all over Greece.

In Leptokarya Municipality on Carnival Sunday the Cedar Festival revives. A big party takes place in the square of every village around the fire with music and dance, while grilled sardine and wine are offered to the visitors.
