Its full name is the Hydro biological Station of Rhodes and is operating under the direction of the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research. It was built during the Italian occupation and operated as a research unit at first, while, later, it operated as a Hydro biological Institute. The researches continue unabated and you can visit it and admire the fauna and flora of the Mediterranean and the Aegean Sea.
