Access

By boat: The island has daily connections with Piraeus by boat that is approaching the island in about 8 hours, and fast ferries that arrive in about 5 hours. The frequency of flights and routes vary depending on the season.

By air: Santorini Airport is also receiving daily flights from Athens and Thessaloniki, as well as from abroad. The frequency of flights and routes vary depending on the season.

Local transportation

For getting around the island you can use the local buses through frequent routes connecting  Fira with other villages and points of interest. You will find also many options to rent a car, motorbike or ATV.

Marinas: For anyone visiting Santorini by boat, the marina at Vlichada is the most organized, where boats can refuel and get water. Other options are Armeni below Ia, the Amoudi and at Thirasia, Korfos and Riva.
