The village of Kamari has one of the largest beaches in Santorini, accessible by car throughout its length. Five kilometers of fine black sand, just ten kilometers from Fira. Most of the beach is organized with wooden walkways, deck chairs and umbrellas that make the stay more enjoyable, since the temperature of the black sand in the summer makes it hard to walk without shoes. If you decide to go to a non-organized part of the beach, make sure that you have your flip flops, beach umbrella, and be prepared for repetitive diving into the crystal waters. Swimming at Kamari beach is the best choice after hiking to Ancient Thira.
