The Kolumbos beach is located on the northeastern side of the island (four kilometers from Ia) and took its name from the homonymous active underwater volcano (at 18 meters depth). The beach is covered with small pebbles. The small cape at the end of the beach is ideal for snorkeling, and good swimmers will enjoy swimming up to the edge of the cape, where they can explore the cave that leads to the other side of it. The exploration of the cape is not appropriate when north winds blow. Access to the beach is possible by following a five minute trail that starts from the main road. Kolumbos is a quiet beach and some nudists choose this beach.
