A large beach near Ia, with the characteristic black sand of the island. A part of it, called Paradise, is organized with umbrellas, sun beds and a beach bar, but the rest of the beach is plain nature without human interference. The direction of the beach makes it inappropriate when north winds blow. You can easily access it, because it lays besides the coastal road from Fira to Ia. In some places the trees provide natural shade. For several meters the sea remains shallow, making the beach ideal for children. The back of the beach consists of a high wall, from soft, white, volcanic ash, which wind and sea sculpted in an artistic way.
