Amfipoli festival: Since 1999 various events take place usually in July and August in archaeological park of Amfipoli surrounded by the charming scenery of Strymonas. These events include theater and music performances, exhibitions and other activities.

Ecologic Festival of Kerkini: Since 2001 and every year in Lake Kerkini banks the festival “Par’ octhin Kerkinis” is organized, offering to the visitors days full of music and unforgettable concerts under the summer moon.
Cherry Festival: In the village of Anastasia people honor the local product, cherry, with this festival. There is a big party with dance and music and cherries are the center of it, since there is an exhibition with cherry products, while many of them are given to the visitors.
Cultural events “Anoixi”: These events take place in Nea Zichni. These three days festival coincide with St. George’s Day, who is the patron saint of the city. The event includes sports activities, exhibitions and concerts. There are often participations from other countries too.
In addition, during the whole year you will certainly find some traditional parties in one of the prefecture villages going on usually in honor of some Saint that has all the characteristic elements of a Greek party.
