One of the most important archaeological sites of the South Sporades is the Asklipeion of the Ancient Peparethus. It dates from the 4^th century B.C. and is one of the oldest Asklipeions throughout Greece, with the excavations having brought to light an arcade of the classical years with excellent masonry, marble offerings and statues. In this site you will also find exhibit space with findings from the excavations.
