July: The Summer Square: For 2 months, the Municipality of Kalamaria organizes an annual festival for our young friends with jugglers, magicians, storytellers, Karagkiozis (shadow puppet performances) and clowns, with whom the children have the opportunity to spend a happy and creative summer.
August: Merkouria Festival: Every year the Municipality of Sykies organizes a Theater Festival dedicated to Melina Merkouri, with the participation of beloved Greek actors.
September: Dimitria Events: With duration of 2 months and events that exceed a hundred, Dimitria is one of the biggest festivals in Europe. During the events, you will enjoy unique musical and theatrical nights as well as exhibitions for all tastes.
International Exhibition: The most significant exhibition in the Balkans takes place in the co-capital every September. During the International Exhibition you will enjoy unique concerts of great singers of the Greek music and you will have the opportunity to observe the development of technology.
The Balkan Square: A festival that takes place for the last 17 years in the Municipality of Neapolis and lasts one week. During this week, you can get to know the music and tradition of the Balkan Peninsula as well as listen to the songs of great Greek singers.
November: Film Festival: The most significant festival of the city takes place every November gathering movies and visitors in a cinematic week of remarkable quality.
