Access

By boat: The island of Tinos is located relatively close to Piraeus port, since the distance with a speed boat is just 3,5 hours and with a ferry boat 5 hours. There are itineraries from and to Tinos available from the ports of Piraeus, Rafina (4 hours with the ferry or 2,5 with speedboat), Andros, Mykonos and Syros.

By plane: There isn’t an airport in Tinos. You could use the airport of a nearby island, such as Syros or Mykonos and then with a boat reach Tinos. If you want to travel to Tinos in August, it would be better if you booked your plane or boat tickets early, since a lot of people visit the island because the celebration of 15th of August, the holiday of the Virgin Mary.

Local transportations

For your local transportations you can use Tinos Buses. There are often itineraries that connect Chora with the island’s villages and beaches. If you decide to rent a car, the road network of the island is really good and will help you explore the island.
