The museum exhibits ecclesiastical artefacts and icons which date from the end of Byzantine period until the beginning of the 20th century. It is housed in the east wing of the monastery of Panagia Archaggeliotissa, in an especially designed space. The gathering of the collection’s exhibits started in the beginning of the 60’s, thanks to the Metropolitan Archbishop of Xanthi, Adonios. Opening hours: Daily after request to the Iera Metropoli of Xanthi
