): One certainly cannot overlook Navagio, perhaps the most photographed beach in Greece, if not in the world. Accessed both by boat from various parts of the island or by car till Porto Vromi, where you will see the up-country of the island, the route includes the villages of Macherado, Agios Leontas and Maries, while at the port of Porto Vromi there is a boat to Navagio. Along the way, the captain stops at the blue caves named after the reflection of the light that makes the caves seem to gush out color. Arriving at the beach-destination, the white steep cliffs that embrace it combined with the white pebbles of its seabed create the feel of a natural blue pool. Despite the crowds of visitors, swimming in this beach is one of the best experiences in Zakynthos, while Tsilivi, Argasi and Alykanas are larger beaches ideal for water sports.
