Access

By car: Florina Prefecture is located in the west part of Macedonia at the northest part of Greece. You can access the prefecture either by your own vehicle or by bus but the journey takes a lot of hours since the prefecture is 585 km away from Athens. The distance is much shorter from Thessaloniki, just 173km away and from Kastoria just 67-100 km away depending on the route you’ll choose. This prefecture has also an excellent road network thanks to Egnatia National Road.

By plane: In case you prefer to travel by plane the nearest airports are those of Kastoria 67-100 km away depending on the route and of Kozani 81 km away from Florina. Bus itineraries are available from both cities.

By train: You can also travel by train from Thessaloniki since there are itineraries available some days of the week.
