There are several options for horse riding. In Heraklion you can visit the equestrian club in Karteros where you can enjoy a horseback ride in nature. Another equestrian center is located in Hersonissos, in the region of Finikia. Horse riding is also available in parts of southern Crete, in agrotourism centers such as Agios Thomas, Zaros and Avdou, where you can combine it with an overnight stay.
